Venise

Venice is a port city in the northeast of Italy, on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. It extends over a set of 118 small islands separated by a network of channels and connected by bridges. Venice is famous for this feature, as well as for its architecture and its cultural heritage - it and its lagoon are listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.

The city is famous for its canals - including the Grand Canal - and its gondolas, its numerous churches, the St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Biennial and its carnival.
Venice, La Serenissima, kept palaces and old houses which today are many museums that testify to its superb old.
