Hyères is a French commune in the Var department in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
Under the leadership of its mayor, Hyères 1830 becomes a first class tourist destination and a resort famous for its winter spa treatments and attended by senior European aristocratic society, including the English community that always leaves an architectural footprint perceptible in the current urban landscape.
